On February 3rd, the Origins card pack price in VALOR in the game shop will begin moving toward a target price based on the volume weighted average trading price of ORIGINS and VALOR tokens over the prior 28 days. Once per day at 1:00 UTC during the daily reset, the target pack price will be calculated and used to determine the next day's pack price in VALOR, 24 hours in advance. This pack price in VALOR will be set to the halfway point between the current pack price and the calculated target price.
The volume weighted average price for ORIGINS tokens (along with the volume weighted average price for VALOR at 1/200 ORIGINS) is calculated and used to determine the target Origins pack price. The further these tokens trade below $2 USD for ORIGINS and $0.01 USD for VALOR, the higher the price for purchasing packs in the Shop for VALOR will be.
The target price calculation is p = (2 / vwap) * 200, where vwap is the volume weighted average price of ORIGINS tokens (including the volume weighted average price of VALOR tokens at 1/200 ORIGINS) over the prior 28 days, and p is the target pack price. Any ORIGINS or VALOR trades identified as spoofing or other attempts at market manipulation will be disqualified from this calculation.
With an average ORIGINS trading price of $1 USD, the target pack price is (2 / 1) * 200 = 400 VALOR.
With an average ORIGINS trading price of $0.1 USD, the target pack price is (2 / 0.1) * 200 = 4000 VALOR.
During the daily reset at 1:00 UTC, the actual pack price in VALOR is set halfway between the current price and the target price, 24 hours in advance. So you will always know the following day's pack price in addition to the current price, and market activity will not affect the pack price for at least 24 hours.
On February 2nd, the target pack price is calculated to be 4000 VALOR, and the current pack price is 200 VALOR. The next day's price will be 2100 VALOR ((4000+200) / 2). The following day the target pack price is calculated to be 3800 VALOR, making the next day's price 2950 VALOR ((2100+3800) / 2).
